Bayer Leverkusen starlet Kai Havertz insists he is open to playing abroad in a transfer boost to Liverpool.
Havertz is regarded as one of the best young German talents and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
It emerged earlier this month Havertz was only interested in joining Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich but he has now put the record straight.
"I often wonder what others seem to know about me," he told Bild. "I am ready to take a big step and I like challenges. For me, this also includes abroad."
Bayern are keen on Havertz as they continue in their pursuit of signing younger players but Liverpool are certainly not out of the race.
After a poor first half of the season, Havertz exploded into life around the turn of the year to put himself in the shop window for Europe's biggest clubs.
The 20-year-old managed just two goals and one assist in 14 league appearances before Christmas but has weighed in with eight goals in as many appearances in 2020.
