Bellerin ruled out for four weeks, confirms Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Hector Bellerin is ruled out for four weeks and will miss their clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

Bellerin, 21, was forced to withdraw from Spain’s Under-21 squad during the international break after picking up an ankle injury at the end of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham.

Reports emerged during the week suggesting the former Barcelona right-back had sustained ankle ligament damage and would miss Arsenal’s match against United this weekend, and Wenger has now confirmed Bellerin will miss all of November through injury.

“Hector is out for about four weeks,” ESPN quote Wenger as saying. “He was injured in the last 10 seconds against Spurs.”
