United and Spurs make huge bids for Premier League’s top rated player
Manchester United and Spurs have both offered €41m (£29m) for Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez, according to Telefoot.
Mahrez, 24, has been the star of the season so far and has courted attention from all of the Premier League’s big clubs with a string of dazzling performances.
The Algeria international is likely to receive a lot of attention when the transfer window re-opens in January, but he has previously insisted he will remain with Leicester until the end of the season and he is also contracted to the club until 2019.
Mahrez made it six goals in three goals with a brace against Everton on Saturday, meaning he now has 13 for the season. In fact, only Lionel Messi (8.41) and Neymar (8.78) have garnered a higher WhoScored rating than Mahrez across Europe’s top five leagues this season.
