Barcelona legend considering future at the club

Andres Iniesta is considering his future at Barcelona amid a summer that has plunged the Spanish giants into complete turmoil.

The 33-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his existing contract with Barcelona and has still not signed a renewal.

Ernesto Valverde’s side are currently looking to restore some optimism around the club following Neymar’s shock £193m departure and now there are reports suggesting Lionel Messi could follow his former team-mate out the club.

If things couldn’t get any worse for Barcelona, Iniesta has now hinted that his time at the club could be about to come to an end.

“Right now, I have still not signed a new contract,” he told Spanish newspaper El Pais. “I have felt many strange feelings for the first time, but I think this may be normal.

“This scenario that, probably three years ago, I could have never imagined. Let’s say that I am considering my future when I didn’t do it before.”
