Premier League clubs scramble for Wilshere’s signature

Jack Wilshere may have to leave Arsenal in the summer after being informed the club have already tabled their best contract offer, claims The Daily Mirror.

The 26-year-old’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season but he is desperate to stay at Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger’s side have already offered Wilshere a new deal but want him to take a pay cut on his existing £110,000-a-week deal.

The Gunners are willing to offer Wilshere a basic wage of £90,000-a-week and pack it with bonuses based on appearances and performance.

Wilshere was out of the picture at Arsenal at the start of the season but has overcome his injury woes to establish himself as a key player for Wenger.

The England international is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs and has already received proposals from Italian duo AC Milan and Juventus.

Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in signing Wilshere on a free transfer at the end of the season and the midfielder is increasingly facing the prospect of a future away from the Emirates.

Arsenal have a much better win ratio in the Premier League this season without Wilshere in the starting XI (55%) compared to when he has featured from the off (30%).
