Everton set to make audacious £31m bid for Juventus striker

Marco Silva has earmarked Moise Kean as a top transfer target this summer and Everton are set to bid £31m for the Juventus youngster, claims The Daily Mail.

The Everton head coach has made signing a new striker a priority this summer after failing to nail down a first-choice option last season.

Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin shared the responsibility as Everton’s frontman last season but neither flourished for the Toffees.

Everton haven’t sufficiently replaced Romelu Lukaku since he left for Manchester United two years ago but Silva hopes that changes this summer.

The Merseysiders have already been linked with an audacious move for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa but now Kean is the first choice target.

Juventus are open to Kean’s departure this summer and it has even been suggested he could act as a makeweight in a player-plus-cash deal for Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

The Old Lady have slapped a £31m valuation on Kean’s head and want a buy-back clause inserted in any proposed transfer abroad.

Kean was a revelation for Juventus towards the end of last season and finishing the campaign with six goals in 13 league appearances for the Serie A champions.

In fact, Kean averaged a goal more frequently than any other player in Serie A last season (every 89.2 minutes of action).
