Arsenal will look to rekindle their interest in Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick by taking advantage of his uncertain future at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mirror.
Carrick, 34, has entered the final six months of his current deal at United and it remains to be seen whether Louis van Gaal’s side will offer him a renewal.
The United vice-captain has barely featured this season after struggling for form and fitness and Arsenal will reportedly make a third attempt to lure the England international to the Emirates at the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his midfield with experience with the likes of Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky expected to leave at the end of the campaign.
Under Van Gaal, United have won a staggering 63.3% of their league matches with Carrick in the starting XI, compared to just 38.2% of those matches without him.

Hahahahahahaha! The writer at the Daily Mirror who came up with this must be a Man U fan seething over Welbeck. Thanks for that, I had a good laugh.
