Manchester United target to secure Manchester City move this week
Harry Maguire will complete a record breaking £80m move to Manchester City this week, claims The Daily Mirror.
Both City and United want Maguire but the 26-year-old wants to join the Premier League champions.
City head coach Pep Guardiola is on the market for a new central defender to replace captain Vincent Kompany, who has returned to Anderlecht.
Aware of interest from both Manchester clubs, Leicester have slapped a stunning £90m price tag on Maguire’s head this summer.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are under no pressure to sell Maguire, as the England international only signed a new long-term deal in September.
Maguire reportedly came to a verbal agreement with Leicester’s late owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, 12 months ago that would allow him to leave this summer and the club will honour it if they receive a suitable fee.

While City were initially reluctant to pay so much for Maguire, they are reportedly set to make the towering centre-back the most expensive defender of all-time.
United have been heavily linked with a move for Maguire over the last year but will now have to return to the drawing board for a new centre-back, with the Leicester ace expected to pen a long-term £280,000-a-week deal with City in the coming days.
