Chelsea have confirmed full-back Baba Rahman has joined Schalke on a season-long loan deal.
Rahman, 22, only joined Chelsea from Augsburg last summer but struggled to have any impact and has now returned to Bundesliga after 12 months.
The Ghana international is already en route to Austria to join up with Schalke’s pre-season training camp.
Despite struggling to make an impact at Chelsea last season, only one player (Willian – 8.05) that made more than one appearance in the Champions League secured a higher rating for the Blues than Rahman (7.62).
