Arsenal bid to make Sanchez highest-paid player in Premier League

Arsenal have offered Alexis Sanchez a new contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League, reports The Daily Mail.

Sanchez’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Chile international has already turned down offers of £225,000 and £275,000-a-week in order to renew with the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger has ruled out his departure this summer despite the fact he will be able to leave for nothing in 12 months and now the north London outfit have made a fresh attempt to convince Sanchez to extend his stay at the club.

Arsenal’s new contract is worth a staggering £300,000-a-week, which would make Sanchez the highest-paid player in the Premier League, although it remains to be seen whether that is enough for the 28-year-old.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen to sign the Arsenal No.7 this summer and will continue to monitor Sanchez’s future at the club this summer.

Sanchez, who has been ruled out for two weeks through injury, was the only Premier League player that registered double figures for goals (24) and assists (10) last season.
