Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas insists it is extremely unlikely he will ever play for Barcelona again.
Fabregas, who graduated through Barcelona’s infamous academy, left the La Liga champions in his second spell at the club to join Chelsea in 2014.
The Spain international is one of Chelsea’s key players and the 29-year-old admits he may have already played his last game for the Catalonian giants.
“A return to Barcelona would not longer be possible, even if I wanted to,” Fabregas told Marca. “The Barcelona stage of my career is over, it is closed.”
Since returning to the Premier League at the start of the 2014/15 campaign, no player has completed more accurate through balls than Fabregas (33).
