Lyon star Nabil Fekir has put Premier League sides on red alert after revealing he would only leave the French side to move to England or Spain.
Fekir has made a sensational start to the season and is now being touted with a big money move to the Premier League at the end of the current campaign.
The 24-year-old has flourished since taking on the role as captain for Lyon this season and filled the sizeable void left by Alexandre Lacazette.
Like Lacazette, Lyon may struggle to keep hold of their prized asset, but the France international has ruled out the possibility of playing for another Ligue 1 side, instead eyeing a move to either Spain or England.
“When you are from Lyon, the only French club that you are interested in is Lyon,” he told Le Parisien, via Get French Football. “There is nothing that tempts you more than that… Spain and England. Those are the two most attractive leagues, where they love football.
“From a technical point of view, it is net. It is the best! In Spain, even smaller teams are not scared of playing. I love the game, the beautiful game. The teams that are uniquely looking to be involved in and win duels do not interest me. That is not football. Aside from that, everyone has their preferred style.”
Despite playing in a role behind the lone striker, Fekir has scored 11 goals in as many league appearances and also registered four assists this season.
In fact, only Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar (8.86) has a higher WhoScored rating in Ligue 1 than Fekir (8.50) this term, while only Lionel Messi (9) has won the WhoScored Man of the Match award more times than the Lyon star (6) in Europe’s top five leagues.
