City set to wrap up Sane deal

Manchester City will hope to secure the services of young Germany wideman Leroy Sane in the coming days, reports German publication Bild.

Sane has been strongly linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium, with City eager to bolster their wide options in the wake of Pep Guardiola’s appointment.

Schalke had been reluctant to cash in on the 20-year-old, but are now willing to part ways with the winger, who looks set to cost City upwards of £40m.

After breaking onto the scene in 2014, the youngster became a key figure for the Bundesliga side and impressed last season netting eight goals and registered a further six assists.
