Manchester United are interested in signing Real Sociedad right-back Alvaro Odriozola, reports The Daily Mail.
Jose Mourinho tasked scouts with watching the 22-year-old as Sociedad crashed out of the Europa League to Austrian side Salzburg last week.
Antonio Valencia will turn 33 at the start of next season and finding his long-term replacement will be a priority for Mourinho in the summer.
United are also expected to sell Matteo Darmian at the end of the season, which will only increase the need to sign another right-back to add competition for places.
Real Sociedad valued the Spain international at £18m when Real Madrid checked in during the January transfer market, but United’s interest may drive the price up further.
Odriozola has established himself as a first-team regular for the Spanish side this season, contributing four assists in 25 league appearances.
