Manchester City are unlikely to bid more than £20m for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in January, reports The Sun.
Pep Guardiola’s side were left furious with Arsenal after their proposed £60m deal for Sanchez collapsed on deadline day but have assured the player they will return with a new bid in January.
Sanchez will only have six months remaining on his existing deal in January and will be free to discuss terms to a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides.
However, the 28-year-old wants to reunite with Guardiola at the Etihad and the City boss is eyeing a cut-price deal for the Chile international in the New Year.
City will reportedly be unwilling to spend anything north of £20m, which is three times less than what they agreed with Arsenal on deadline day and it remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger would sanction the sale.
Since the start of last season, only Wilfried Zaha (135) has been dispossessed more times in the Premier League than Sanchez (128).
