Porto winger emerges as fallback option should Chelsea's Sancho bid fail

Porto winger Corona has emerged as an alternative to Jadon Sancho if Chelsea fail to land the England international this summer, reports The Daily Star.

Sancho is a number one target for a host of top teams across the continent this summer, with Borussia Dortmund willing to cash in on the youngster for €120m.

Manchester United have been leading the race to land the 20-year-old, but face competition from a number of Premier League sides, including Chelsea.

Bayern Munich are another who are considering a move for Sancho, though their number one wing target remains Manchester City's Leroy Sane.

And Chelsea are aware of the hefty interest in Sancho and have identified Corona as a fallback option if they fail to win the race for the England international.

Mexican Corona has two goals and seven assists for Porto this season to help yield a WhoScored rating of 7.36.

The 27-year-old can also operate at wing-back and has a valuation of £26m, so is a much cheaper alternative than Sancho.

However, Chelsea may face competition from Inter and Sevilla, with Corona's performances in Portugal catching the eye of a number of Europe's top sides.
