Tottenham plot move for Arsenal and Liverpool target

Tottenham are gearing up to make a move for Arsenal and Liverpool target Naby Keita, according to the Daily Mirror.

The RB Leipzig has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga debutants this season and his excellent performances have not gone unnoticed.

Arsenal had hoped to lured him to England last summer, while Liverpool were also keen, but the duo could now be trumped to his signature for top-4 rivals Tottenham.

Keita is contracted to RB Leipzig until 2020, so they are under no pressure to sell, but the financial windfall from a Champions League finish could see Spurs splash out to improve the squad over the summer.

The 22-year-old has seven goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga this season to return to WhoScored rating of 7.62 as RB Leipzig find themselves in second in Germany’s top tier.

Spurs are without key man Dele Alli for the next three European fixtures following his red card in the second leg of the 3-2 aggregate loss to Gent in the Europa League and Maurico Pochettino does not want to be caught short in midfield next season.

Keita only recently returned to action after collapsing following a 1-0 defeat to Wolfsburg, but has impressed nonetheless, with 72 successful dribbles second only to Ousmane Dembele (80) in the Bundesliga this season.
