Arsenal target happy at Manchester United

Anthony Martial is happy with life at Manchester United and not interested in talk linking him with a move to Arsenal, reports Manchester Evening Standard.

The France international has emerged as a potential target for Arsenal in recent weeks as it increasingly looks like Arsene Wenger will need to replace Alexis Sanchez at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Martial has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth in two years under Jose Mourinho and Arsenal are hopeful of using any uncertainty surrounding his future to prise the 21-year-old away from Old Trafford.

Despite the fact only one of Martial’s six league appearances this season have come as a starter, the United No.11 is reportedly much happier this time around compared to his turbulent first campaign under Mourinho.

Martial and Marcus Rashford have tended to rotate for a place on the left wing and both have been in immense form for United this term as they sit joint top of the Premier League.

In fact, of Premier League players to have played a direct hand in more than one goal this season, Martial requires the fewest minutes (1 every 27.8 minutes of action).
