Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has responded to speculation linking him with a summer switch across London to West Ham by reaffirming his commitment to the Cottagers.
West Ham are reportedly planning potential replacements for Slaven Bilic and could even look to change manager before the season finishes if their Premier League status comes into serious doubt.
The Hammers’ 1-0 win over relegation rivals Swansea has moved the club four places and eight points clear of the bottom three to alleviate some of the pressure on Bilic’s shoulders.
Nevertheless, his position at the club is far from certain beyond the end of the season but West Ham may have to look for alternative targets if they are to sack Bilic after Jokanovic insisted his desire is to manager Fulham in the Premier League.
“I’ve extended my contract [with Fulham],” The Daily Mirror quote the Fulham boss as saying in response to questions about West Ham. “I am absolutely committed, always. I am happy with my club. I want to be a Premier League manager with Fulham Football Club.”
Fulham are only two points outside the play-offs and have arguably been one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the Championship this season, which resulted in the club handing the 48-year-old former Watford manager with a new deal in February.
In fact, only second player Newcastle (74) have scored more goals in England’s second tier this season than Fulham (72).
