Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has put English sides on red alert after revealing he loves the Premier League.
N’Zonzi left Stoke to join Sevilla in 2015 and has developed into one of the best central midfielders in Spain in the last two years.
The 28-year-old, who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last season, made his senior debut for France in Friday’s 2-0 win over Wales and afterwards hinted at a Premier League return in the future.
“I love the Premier League,” The Daily Mirror quote N’Zonzi as saying. “I really like the Premier League, this is where I started at a good level. I had a great time there.
“I don’t know what is going to happen in the future. I am fine at Sevilla, I feel good. I am used to it now. It is my third season so I am happy.”
N’Zonzi only extended his Sevilla contract in January but made it clear he wanted to leave the Spanish side at the start of August.
However, new Sevilla head coach Eduardo Berizzo made it clear he wanted to keep the midfielder and things seem to have improved for the Frenchman.
Since the start of last season, N’Zonzi (3066) has completed more passes than any other La Liga player.
