Liverpool are plotting a surprise move for Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to ItaSportPress.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly on the search for a new goalkeeper following Simon Mignolet’s unconvincing start to life under the German.
Klopp is reportedly assessing a move for AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez, but is also weighing up a move for Begovic, who has lost his place in the Chelsea goal following Thibaut Courtois return from injury.
Since first moving to the Premier League in 2010, only four goalkeepers – including Mignolet (539) – have made more saves than Begovic (513).
