Norwich City have made a £7.3m bid to sign Inter outcast Andrea Ranocchia, according to BBC Sport.
Alex Neil’s side are looking to make bolster their squad in January and have also reportedly made an offer to sign Steven Naismith from Everton.
Ranocchia, 27, has been capped 20 times by Italy but doesn’t feature in Roberto Mancini’s plans, who tried to offload the defender over the summer.
The former Inter captain has been offered a salary in the region of £2.2m per year to join the Premier League strugglers, but neither their offer or their contract have been accepted at this point.
Ranocchia has only started one league game this season having been a regular in the starting XI last season. In fact, no Inter defender made more clearances in the league than Ranocchia last season (143).
