Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling are both in contention to face Chelsea have recovered from injury concerns, while Ross Barkley will be in the Blues squad that travels to the Etihad.

Manchester City will, however, be without Fernandinho through injury, with Benjamin Mendy a long term absentee and Fabian Delph still suspended.

After a busy scheduled the City boss is expected to apply some rotation once more, with Gabriel Jesus back fit and fighting for a place with Sergio Aguero, who has started seven games in little over a month. However, the Argentine is just one goal away from a landmark 200th for the club and should get the nod.

Elsewhere youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko could come into the fray, in competition with Danilo for a start at left-back, while Bernardo Silva will hope to keep Sterling on the bench after his goal in midweek.

The Italian’s main decision will be whether to stick with Alvaro Morata up front or turn to Eden Hazard to lead the line, bringing in Pedro alongside the in-form Willian.

Elsewhere the team should line up as expected, with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger again getting the nod over Gary Cahill in the back three.
