West Ham line up move for Villa forward

West Ham are considering a £6m move for Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew as a replacement for Diafra Sakho, reports The Daily Mail.

Ayew’s performances have been one of very few bright points for a Villa side that is almost certainly going to be playing football in the Championship next season.

The 26-year-old cost Villa £9.6m last summer but they will be forced to let him go for a cut-price due to relegation and Slaven Bilic has his eye on the Ghana international.

Bilic has made signing two forwards his main priority in the summer and he is even prepared to sell Sakho to accommodate space for new recruits in his squad.

The former Marseille forward is Villa’s top goalscorer in the Premier League this season (6) and the West Ham manager has been impressed with how Ayew has managed to create goals for himself in a team that lacks any substance going forward.
