Arsenal will not entertain offers south of £50m for Alexis Sanchez if their talisman refuses to sign a new contract in the summer, claims the London Evening Standard.
Sanchez, 28, will only have 12 months remaining on his existing deal in the summer and Arsenal will be forced to cash in on their No.7 if they fail to make a breakthrough in talks when contract talks are planned to resume at the end of the season.
The Chile international has already emerged as a top transfer target for Chelsea, while Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich have all been attributed with an interest in Arsenal’s best player, but it remains to be seen whether they would be willing to pay that much for someone with a year left on their contract.
Nevertheless, Arsenal will be keen to get maximum value from one of the best players in the Premier League should they fail to convince the former Barcelona forward to agree new terms.
No player has scored or assisted more goals in the Premier League this season than Sanchez (27).
