Manchester United not interested in selling Martial

Manchester United have no interest in selling Anthony Martial this summer, claims Sky Sports.

Martial’s agent revealed on Thursday that his client wants to leave United after a turbulent two-year spell under Jose Mourinho.

The agent made it clear Martial would have left sooner had it not been for the support shown by United’s supporters, but the Red Devils still do not want to cash in.

Martial has 12 months remaining on his current United deal and Mourinho’s side have an option to extend his stay by a further season.

The 22-year-old, who missed out on France’s 23-man squad for the World Cup, has already rejected the offer of a contract extension from United and been linked with moves to Tottenham and Juventus.

Martial has failed to completely win over Mourinho and has dropped further down the pecking order at Old Trafford since Alexis Sanchez’s arrival in January.

Despite struggling for regular playing time under Mourinho, Martial has scored more at least seven more league goals than any other United player since making his debut for the club in September 2015 (24).
