Manchester United join race for emerging Premier League star
Manchester United are the latest top-six side to show interest in Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, claims The Daily Mirror.
Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation for Palace since making his Premier League debut less than 12 months ago and is arguably one of the best full-backs in the division.
The 21-year-old has already been linked with a big money move to Manchester City but now Chelsea and United have entered the race for his signature.
United are looking to nail down Antonio Valencia’s long-term replacement at right-back and hope to address that position in the squad by the start of next season.
The Red Devils signed 19-year-old Diogo Dalot from Porto last summer and the teenager has offered encouraging performances this season.
Former manager Jose Mourinho even claimed Dalot would be United’s right-back for the next decade, but the Premier League giants are also monitoring Wan-Bissaka’s progress at Palace.
Only Leicester ace Ricardo Pereira (80) has completed more dribbles than Wan-Bissaka (77) in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Furthermore, he has remarkably only been dribbled past six times, which is astonishing for a full-back and someone of his age and inexperience.
