Chelsea plotting second Leicester raid

Chelsea are already planning a second raid on Premier League champions Leicester City, reports the Sunday Express.

The Blues confirmed the capture of N’Golo Kante from the Foxes on Saturday and have earmarked Riyad Mahrez as their next arrival.

The Algerian has reportedly turned down a new contract with Leicester, heightening speculation that he could be set for a move away from the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are under no pressure to sell their attacker, who gained a better WhoScored rating (7.84) than any other player in the Premier League last season, with Mahrez still having three years left to run on his current deal.

However, the Foxes could be tempted into selling Mahrez should they receive a sizeable offer for his services, with Chelsea keen to strengthen adequately before the season starts.

Arsenal and Barcelona have previously been interested in the 25-year-old, who was directly involved in 28 Premier League goals last term; only Jamie Vardy (30) contributed to more.
