Borussia Dortmund boss relaxed on Dembele exit talk

Borussia Dortmund head coach Peter Bosz insists he is not concerned about talk linking Ousmane Dembele with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The France international enjoyed a breathtaking maiden campaign for Dortmund last season and has now emerged as a potential target for Barcelona as they look to replace Neymar.

Ernesto Valverde’s side sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in a world record deal worth £193m and that money will be made available to find his successor.

Dembele has already moved to cool talks by committing his immediate future to the Bundesliga side and his boss insists he will not be caught up in talk linking the 20-year-old with a move away.

“You just don’t know about the knock-on effect and that’s not an issue right now,” Football Espana quote Bosz as saying at a news conference.

“If I were to dwell on everything that might happen then I’d sleep badly at night. A lot can happen all of the time.

“Neymar’s in the news now, but it will all continue until the end of August. Mbappe will most likely switch clubs and also cost a lot of money.”

Dembele finished as Dortmund’s highest rated player in the Bundesliga (7.44) during his first season at the club, while only Emil Forsberg (18) created more clear-cut chances in the Bundesliga than the Frenchman (17).
