Manchester United plot £155m move for Serie A star

Manchester United are preparing a £155m bid for Juventus star Paulo Dybala next summer, reports The Daily Mirror.

Juventus have already revealed Dybala will be free to leave the club when he sees fit, while Dani Alves told the Argentina international last season he needs to leave the Old Lady to reach his potential.

Dybala has already been linked with a move to Barcelona, but United are hoping to pip their European rivals to his signature next summer by making him the most expensive player in British football history.

Jose Mourinho’s side re-signed Paul Pogba from Juventus last year in a then-world record £89m deal and hope to do business with the reigning Serie A champions again at the end of the current campaign.

United poached Juventus’ lead scout, Javier Ribalta, back in June and Mourinho will hope he can play a decisive part in convincing Dybala to move to Old Trafford.

In just six Serie A appearances this season, Dybala is only one goal shy from equalling his tally across the whole of last season (11).
