Barcelona have reach an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, according to Marca, via Get French Football.
Marquinhos, 21, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in recent years and the versatile defender has grown frustrated with his lack of first-team action this season.
The Brazil international is firmly behind David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the pecking order to play at the heart of Laurent Blanc’s defence and a move to Barcelona would certainly be appealing.
However, the Catalonian outfit, who are currently experiencing financial restraints, are yet to reach an agreement with PSG over the fee for the defender, according to the report.
Marquinhos has only started 12 league games this season, but a transition into the Barcelona way of playing shouldn’t prove too difficult for a defender that is already used to being economical in possession (92.7% success rate).
Additionally, since joining from Roma in 2013, PSG have only lost one league game from the 50 in which he has started.
