Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is Arsenal’s top transfer target for January, according to France Football.
Arsenal currently have Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla all out injured and they are reportedly on the market for a new central midfielder to bolster their squad for the second half of the season.
Arsene Wenger’s side moved to within two points of league leaders Leicester thanks to their 2-1 win over rivals Manchester City on Monday, with many believing the title is now for Arsenal’s to lose.
The Arsenal boss would also appear to realise this, which would make a move for Rabiot a logical step if Wenger was looking to bolster his midfield options for the title run in.
The 20-year-old angered PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi with comments made about his desire to gain first-team experience elsewhere in 2016, so it remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 champions would allow the novice to leave.
Of the 69 players aged 21 and under to have featured in at least 10 league games this season, only two players across Europe’s top five leagues have a better pass success rate than Rabiot (90.1%).
