Paris Saint-Germain will reject Barcelona’s loan offer for Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain will turn down any offer from Barcelona that would see Neymar return to Camp Nou on loan, claims ESPN.

Barcelona are locked in talks with the French counterparts about a stunning deal to re-sign Neymar.

The Brazil international is desperate to leave PSG before the transfer window shuts but Barcelona are struggling to get a deal over the line.

PSG want to recoup the full €222m they spent to prise Neymar away from Barcelona two years ago but the Spanish side do not have the money.

It was thought Barcelona would offer a player-plus-cash deal involving Philippe Coutinho but he joined Bayern Munich on loan on Monday.

It has since emerged Barcelona are preparing a season-long loan offer for Neymar with an option to buy next summer.

Due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, Barcelona will only be able to afford Neymar outright at the end of the season.

However, PSG are not interested in a loan offer and only want to sell Neymar permanently this summer.

Neymar has played a direct hand in 54 goals in 37 league matches (34 goals, 20 assists) for PSG but injuries have savaged his time in France.

Despite failing to complete a full season in Ligue 1, Neymar has completed at least 15 more accurate through balls than any other player in the division since August 2017 (39).
