Crystal Palace have completed the signing of free agent Emmanuel Adebayor until the end of the season .
Adebayor, 31, has been without a club since having his contract terminated by Spurs at the start of the season.
The former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker has been heavily linked with a move to Palace in recent weeks, as Alan Pardew looks to solve his forward options that have struggled for goals this season.
Pardew’s need for a new striker was made more urgent after Connor Wickham was charged for violent conduct by the FA on Monday, meaning he is likely to be hit with a three-game ban.
No Palace striker has scored a league goal from open-play this season and Pardew will be hoping the introduction of Adebyaor will help stop a slide in results that has seen them lose their last four league matches with just one goal scored.
