Bournemouth ace shines in Premier League Team of the Week
The FA Cup may have disrupted the Premier League calendar this past weekend but there were still four matches that went ahead and talking points in each of them.
Liverpool finally proved they can beat a team that is not in the top six when they came from behind to beat a resilient Burnley side 2-1 on Sunday, while Marco Silva’s remarkable run of results at home in the league continue with Hull at the expense of Swansea.
Everton continued their good start to 2017 with a comprehensive 3-0 win over West Brom but the man of the weekend was Joshua King, who despite missing a penalty, scored all three of Bournemouth’s goals in a mouth watering 3-2 win over West Ham on Saturday.
The former Manchester United striker became the first Bournemouth player to reach double figures for goals in the Premier League and became the first Cherrie to score a hat trick in the Premier League since Callum Wilson also netted three against West Ham in August 2015.
Not only was King able to put West Ham to the sword, he also worked for his team, completing four tackles and one interception to finish with the best WhoScored rating of the weekend’s action (9.94).
