Manchester United target tempted by Roma, says agent

The agent of Ajax striker Kasper Dolberg has revealed his client would be interested in moving to Italy to join Roma.

Dolberg has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Europe since breaking onto the scene last season.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the teenager but Jens Steffensen, Dolberg’s agent, has hinted Jose Mourinho’s side could miss out on the striker if Roma show serious interest.

“Roma would be wonderful,” he told Romanews Web Radio, via Football Italia

“Serie A is a great tournament and very competitive, so he’d certainly be interested in a transfer, but there’s no concrete offer on the table at the moment.

“He could remain for another season at Ajax, but it depends on the offers. He would find it difficult to say no to a great club like Roma.”

Ajax have already lost star midfielder Davy Klaassen to Everton this summer and the Dutch giants are bracing themselves for more offers for their star players after getting to the Europa League final last season.

Dolberg scored 16 goals in 29 league appearances during his breakthrough campaign for Ajax last season. Furthermore, of the 109 players that attempted at least 15 dribbles in the Europa League last season, Dolberg had the best success rate (94.1%).
