Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has suffered another blow in his road to recovery after sustaining a groin injury ruling him out until 2016.
Ribery, 32, only returned from a nine-month injury lay-off last weekend, but could only manage 45 minutes against Dinamo Zagreb in midweek before being withdrawn because of a groin problem.
The France international was taken off as a precaution, but the injury is worse than first anticipated leaving the Bayern No.7 on the sidelines for the rest of the year.
Since the start of last season Ribery has only started in 15 matches for Bayern in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
