City to complete Bravo deal this week

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is determined to complete a deal to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo by the end of the week, according to The Guardian.

Bravo, 32, has been earmarked as the ball-playing goalkeeper required for Guardiola to implement his philosophy at City and has been given permission by Barcelona to miss training as a switch beckons.

Guardiola made the controversial decision to drop Joe Hart at the start of the season and the England international has watched on from the bench in each of City’s three matches this season with Willy Caballero preferred between the sticks.

However, any confusion in goal should come to an end by the end of the week as City close in on Barcelona’s No.1 after agreeing a fee with the La Liga side.
