Everton have brought in Robin Olsen from Roma as competition for Jordan Pickford.
The England international committed another gaffe at the weekend, inadvertently dropping the ball for Neal Maupay to score in Everton's eventual 4-2 win over Brighton.
While Pickford's effort wasn't capitalised on as the Toffees picked up all three points to maintain their 100% start to the season, Carlo Ancelotti has moved to bring in competition for the 26-year-old.
Olsen spent last season on loan at Serie A side Cagliari from Roma, making 17 league starts in the process.
The 30-year-old managed the fourth best save success rate (73.1%) in Serie A last season, that better than Pau Lopez (65.7%) who was secured as an Olsen replacement for Roma.
Everton have enjoyed a fine transfer window, securing the services of Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez, while Ben Godfrey joined from Norwich on deadline day.
No player has committed more errors leading to an opposition goal than Pickford (5) since the start of the 2019/20 Premier League and Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti will hope the arrival of Olsen will see the English shotstopper return to his best.
