Liverpool are keen to securing the services of Thiago Alcantara, who is looking to leave Bayern Munich this summer, reports Sport Bild.
The German publication suggests the Spanish midfielder could seek a move away from the Bundesliga champions this summer after negotiations over a new deal with Bayern reached an impasse.
Thiago's current deal expires next summer and Bayern would rather sell than lose him on a free in 12 months' time.
That appeals to Liverpool, who are rumoured to be interested on signing the 29-year-old as head coach Jurgen Klopp seeks to strengthen his midfield.
Klopp is believed to be a huge admirer of Thiago, whose WhoScored rating of 7.47 is enough to feature in the Bundesliga team of the season so far.
Thiago hasn't featured for Bayern since their 2-1 DFB-Pokal win this month due to injury, but has been a key figure in Hansi Flick's side when available.
Of the 138 players to have attempted 25 or more dribbles, Thiago has a better dribble success rate (85.5%) than any other Bundesliga player this season.
