Chelsea winger rejects offer from David Beckham

Chelsea veteran Willian has turned down an offer from David Beckham's MLS franchise Inter Miami, claims The Daily Telegraph.

Willian's current Chelsea deal will expire at the end of the current campaign and his future is up in the air.

The Brazil international is demanding a new three-year deal to renew with Chelsea but Frank Lampard's side are only willing to offer the 31-year-old a two-year contract.

Chelsea's policy for players over the age of 30 tends to only be rolling one-year contracts and they are not willing to bend the rules to the extent Willian wants.

Willian has been in sublime form for Chelsea post-lockdown and is spearheading their top-four challenge.

Arsenal are monitoring Willian's future at Chelsea with a view to signing the veteran winger this summer.

It has now emerged Inter Miami have made an audacious move for Willian's services only to be rejected.

Despite coming to the twilight of his career, Willian is desperate to continue playing in the Champions League and preferably still for a club in England.

Willian has played a direct hand in seven goals in as many appearances in all competitions post-lockdown.

Moreover, a return of 16 goals and assists is his best ever return in a single-league campaign since joining Chelsea in 2013.
