Arsenal are interested in signing Napoli midfielder Jorginho this summer, reports Tuttomercato.
Jorginho is widely considered as one of the most underrated midfielders in Europe and he has been instrumental to Napoli’s flying start to the side.
His agent, Joao Santos, said Arsenal were interested in signing the Brazilian-born Italy international back in March 2016 and the Gunners appear to have revived their interest.
Arsene Wenger current central midfielders have floundered at times this season and now he is ready to go out and buy Jorginho to bolster his options.
No player in Europe’s top five leagues averages more passes per game than Jorginho (105.3), while his pass success rate is also a stunning 92.8%.
Not only that, but the Napoli ace has won possession in the middle third more times than any other Serie A player since August 2015 (382).
