Crystal Palace have been served a huge boost after Aaron Wan-Bissaka confirmed he will not leave the club this summer.
Wan-Bissaka has enjoyed a startling rise since making his Premier League debut at the start of 2018 and is now regarded as one of the best full-backs in the division.
Manchester United and Manchester City have both been heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old but will now have to look at alternatives after Wan-Bissaka ruled out a summer move at the club’s end of season awards ceremony.
“The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed,” he told the London Evening Standard.
“But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season.
“I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to sign a new right-back this summer following Ashley Young’s sharp decline in recent months.
Wan-Bissaka was identified as a top transfer target by the Red Devils, though there were concerns his arrival would stifle Diogo Dalot’s development.
Only Etienne Capoue (85) has made more interceptions than Wan-Bissaka (82) in the Premier League this season, while the Palace starlet has remarkably only been dribbled past 10 times this term.
