Tottenham have turned their attentions to £30m-rated Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips, claims The Daily Mirror.
Philips has been heavily linked with a Premier League move this summer with a number of top-flight clubs chasing his signature.
Aston Villa were the first to express an interest in the 23-year-old but were left stunned by Leeds’ valuation and have since moved on to Manchester City's Douglas Luiz.
Villa had an £11m bid for Phillips rejected earlier this summer before being informed of his stunning £30m price tag.
Wolves and Bournemouth are also interested in the Leeds academy graduate but now Tottenham have entered the race.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds this summer and are now after his team-mate.
Tottenham want to overhaul their midfield options this summer and have already broken their club transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.
Phillips, who is naturally a defensive midfielder but can also drop into defence, made 44 league starts for Leeds last season and garnered a WhoScored rating of 6.98.
The Leeds ace also ranked in the top-10 for most possession won in the midfield third in the Championship in 2018/19 (167).
I guess the Bielsa players come pre-programmed.
