Arsenal are preparing a surprise move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez in January, according to talkSPORT.
Hernandez, 27, left United for Bayer Leverkusen over the summer after being told he had very little chance of forcing his way into the first-team by Louis van Gaal at the end of last season.
The Mexico international has been in sensational goalscoring form since making the move, which has made United’s poor recent form in front of goal all the more worse.
Van Gaal could be made to look even more foolish for letting Hernandez leave Old Trafford should Arsenal land the forward in the New Year.
In fact, Hernandez has scored 15 goals in his last 13 appearances for Leverkusen, whilst United have only managed 11 goals as a team in their last 13 matches.
