Falcao has medical ahead of Chelsea exit

Radamel Falcao is currently undergoing his medical at Monaco ahead of the prospect of ending his loan spell at Chelsea early to return to his parent club, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Chelsea are hoping to cut short the Colombia international’s stay at Stamford Bridge in order to free room to sign another striker before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Falcao has endured a torrid one-and-a-half year stint in England following two largely unsuccessful loan spells at Manchester United and now Chelsea.

The former Atletico Madrid striker was once one of the most revered strikers on the continent but has never managed to recapture his deadly form in front of goal since suffering a serious knee injury this time two years ago.

The 29-year-old hasn’t featured for Chelsea since October 31 due to a troublesome thigh injury and has only started one league game this season for the Blues.

Since arriving in the Premier League at the start of last season Falcao has only managed to find the back of the net every 300.2 minutes of action.
