Dimitri Payet has put suitors on red alert after hinting he could leave West Ham in January.
The France international has been one of the best players in the Premier League since joining West Ham from Marseille in 2015 before starring at Euro 2016.
Payet, 29, only signed a new five-and-a-half year deal in February as West Ham looked to secure their prize asset, but the creative midfielder has refused to rule out a possible exit when the transfer window opens in January.
“We’ve had a very poor start,” Payet told Telefoot, via Sky Sports. “Leave in January? I’m asking other questions right now but I’ve closed the door to nothing.
“Until now, I always chose my clubs depending on the sports project. I work like that. Until I can play at a level like this, it will be the case.
“Go to PSG or Marseille? For now, they have not come to me, so I do not ask myself.”
West Ham are only one point above the bottom three after managing just three wins in their opening 11 league matches. Their move into the London Stadium has also been a disaster, but that hasn’t stopped Payet from proving the creative beckon he was last season.
In fact, Payet has created at least nine more chances than any other player in the Premier League this season (40).
