Sevilla have announced they have signed Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer on a four-year deal until June 2021.
Kjaer is the second player to join Sevilla in as many days after the Spanish side announced the return of Manchester City winger Jesus Navas on a free transfer.
The Fenerbahce centre-back successfully completed his medical with Eduardo Berizzo’s side on Wednesday and has now completed a move for a fee in the region of €11m (£9.8m).
Sevilla have been in the market for a new centre-back since sanctioning Adil Rami’s return to France at the start of July.
In the last two Super Lig campaigns only Larrys Mabiala (6) has committed more errors that have directly led to an opposition shot on goal than Kjaer (4) of all outfielders.
