Chelsea’s £52m bid for Juventus ace is rejected

Juventus have rejected Chelsea’s £52m bid for Alex Sandro and have no interest in selling the wing-back, reports Tuttosport, via The Daily Mail.

Antonio Conte is desperate to bolster his defensive options with the arrival of Sandro but may be forced to look elsewhere with Juventus adamant he is not for sale at any price.

Sandro, 26, still has three years left to run on his current Juventus deal and has already established himself as one of the best full-backs in Europe following his £22m switch from Porto in 2015.

The Brazil international nailed down a regular starting berth in the Juventus starting XI last season, which even forced veteran defender Patrice Evra to leave the club in search of first team football at the start of the year.

Only Edin Dzeko (7.85), Dries Mertens (7.76), Alejandro Gomez (7.75) and Lorenzo Insigne (7.67) secured higher ratings in Serie A last season than Sandro (7.67).
