Leicester ponder £10m move for ex-United defender

Leicester and interested in signing £10m-rated Burnley defender Michael Keane, according to The Daily Mirror.

Claudio Ranieri is keen to bolster his Premier League winning squad as Leicester welcome Champions League football to the King Power Stadium for the first time next season.

Adding strength in depth is a priority for the Foxes and they are now looking to move for highly rated Burnley defender Keane.

The 23-year-old played an integral part in Burnley’s ability to get promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking and would add to Leicester’s growing list of former Manchester United players.

The England Under-21 international spent six years coming through the United academy before sealing a permenant switch to Burnley last year having endured several loan spells, which included a season at Leicester in 2012/13.

Burnley want to keep hold of Keane but with only two years left on his existing deal Sean Dyche’s side may look to cash in on a player that only cost them £1.5m.
